Services

Perimenopause and menopause care are at the center of what we do.

Triple Health Clinic is designed for midlife women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Because not every symptom is caused by hormones alone, we consider relevant thyroid, metabolic, nutritional, digestive, sleep, lifestyle, and other factors when developing your personalized care plan.

Perimenopause & Menopause Care

Specialized, individualized care for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Is this you?

Perimenopause and menopause can affect much more than menstrual cycles and hot flashes. Changes may involve sleep, mood, concentration, energy, weight and body composition, joint and muscle comfort, sexual health, and vaginal or urinary symptoms. Every woman’s experience is different, which is why care should not rely on a one-size-fits-all approach.

At Triple Health Clinic, perimenopause and menopause care are our primary focus. Donna Wirt, DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, MSCP, combines 34 years of clinical experience, specialized menopause training, and a functional medicine approach to provide thoughtful, individualized care through midlife.

Treatment recommendations are based on your symptoms, health and menopause history, medications and supplements, individual risks, laboratory results, preferences, and goals. Your plan may include hormone therapy when appropriate, nonhormone medications, treatment for vaginal and urinary symptoms, nutrition and lifestyle strategies, or carefully selected supplements.

We explain your options, discuss potential benefits and risks, and work with you to develop an informed, manageable treatment plan shaped around your individual needs.

What We Consider As Part Of Your Care.

Because hormones do not work in isolation.

Hormones, thyroid function, metabolism, digestive health, nutrition, and sleep are interconnected—and each can influence how you feel during midlife. That is why we consider the factors relevant to you, not as a broad menu of separate services, but as part of thoughtful, personalized menopause care.

Perimenopause and menopause care remain at the center of everything we do. The other areas we evaluate support that work.

Hormone Therapy

When appropriate, we discuss evidence-based hormone therapy and nonhormone treatment options based on your symptoms, health history, individual risks, preferences, and goals. Treatment options may include estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, or nonhormone medications.

Thyroid Health

Thyroid symptoms can overlap with symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. That is why thyroid function is evaluated as part of every new patient assessment. We order and interpret thyroid testing and help patients understand the appropriate next steps based on their results. If you have a known thyroid condition that is already being managed by another clinician, we review it in the context of your overall health and coordinate care or recommend follow-up with your managing clinician when appropriate.

Metabolic Health

Changes in insulin sensitivity, blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, and body composition can affect how you feel during midlife and influence long-term health. When metabolic concerns are identified, we develop a personalized plan that may include nutrition, movement, supplements, or medication.

Vaginal, Urinary & Sexual Health

Declining estrogen can affect vaginal tissue, sexual comfort, and bladder health during and after the menopause transition. We provide a private, comfortable setting to discuss these concerns and offer individualized treatment options to improve symptoms and quality of life.

Nutrient Deficiency

Deficiencies in iron, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and other nutrients can occur during midlife—and their symptoms may closely resemble or compound symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. We evaluate relevant nutrient markers as part of your comprehensive assessment and use the results to guide treatment and monitor your response.

Digestive Health

Your gut and your hormones are connected. The gut microbiome plays a role in how estrogen is metabolized and recirculated, while digestive health can also affect nutrient absorption, medication tolerance, and overall well-being. For some midlife women, addressing digestive concerns can be an important part of feeling better. When these concerns are present, we evaluate them as part of your broader care plan and recommend appropriate testing, treatment, or referral.

Guided Program

Your Care Begins with the 12-Week Foundations Program

One clear starting point for every new patient.

All new patients begin with our in-depth 12-Week Foundations Program, starting with a comprehensive 75-minute initial appointment. Rather than trying to address everything in a single visit, we use a functional medicine approach to understand your symptoms in context. We review your health history, medications, supplements, and laboratory results, consider relevant contributing factors, and order additional targeted testing when appropriate.

Over the next 12 weeks, follow-up visits at two, six, and twelve weeks give us time to put your personalized treatment plan into action, evaluate your response, answer questions, and make thoughtful adjustments. Secure messaging provides additional support between appointments.

By the end of the program, you will have a clearer understanding of your health, an individualized treatment plan, and a well-defined path for ongoing care.

Guided Program

How the 12-Week Foundations Program Works

  • Understand Initial appointment

We begin with a comprehensive 75-minute evaluation of your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, medications, supplements, and available laboratory results. We pair this with a broader, functional medicine–informed laboratory evaluation that includes thyroid, metabolic, nutrient, and other relevant markers not routinely included in standard primary care testing.

  • Personalize Two-week visit

Based on your advanced lab results and clinical assessment, we build a targeted treatment plan tailored specifically to your body, your hormones, and your goals.

  • Evaluate and Refine Six-week visit

We evaluate how you are responding, address questions or concerns, and make thoughtful adjustments to your treatment plan when needed.

  • Plan Forward 12-week visit

We review your progress and follow-up laboratory results. We refine your ongoing treatment plan, and determine the appropriate schedule for continued care.

What's Included

Four Provider Visits

A comprehensive 75-minute initial appointment followed by visits at two, six, and twelve weeks. This gives us time to evaluate, develop your plan, monitor your response, and make thoughtful adjustments.

Personalized Treatment Plan

An individualized plan based on your symptoms, health history, laboratory results, individual risks, preferences, and goals.

Secure Messaging Support

A convenient way to ask questions and receive guidance between your scheduled visits.

Laboratory Review and Interpretation

An advanced review of relevant hormone, thyroid, metabolic, and nutrient markers. Additional testing may be selected according to your individual needs.

Two In-Clinic Lab Draw Fees

The fees for your initial and 12-week in-clinic lab draws are included. Charges for the laboratory testing itself are separate and are submitted to your insurance carrier by LabCorp. Coverage and patient responsibility vary by insurance plan.

$50 Triple Health Product Credit

A $50 credit toward eligible supplements or skincare products purchased through Triple Health. The credit must be used before completing the program.

What Happens After 12 Weeks

Completing the Foundations Program does not mean your care ends. At your 12-week visit, we review your progress, discuss your ongoing priorities, and establish the next phase of your care.

You will then transition to individual fee-for-service follow-up visits. These visits are typically 30–40 minutes and cost $175 per visit. Follow-up visits are generally scheduled every three months while medications are being adjusted or other contributing factors are being addressed. Once your treatment plan is stable, visits may transition to every six months.

Your follow-up schedule will be based on your individual needs and progress.

Program Fee and Payment Options

The fee for the 12-Week Foundations Program is $1,000. The program includes four provider visits valued at $250 each, along with the additional support and benefits outlined above.

Payment Options
  • Make four payments of $250, generally collected at the initial, two-week, six-week, and 12-week visits.
  • Pay the $1,000 program fee in full.
  • Apply for six-month interest-free financing through CareCredit, subject to credit approval and CareCredit’s terms.
  • Credit, debit, HSA and FSA payments are accepted.
HSA and FSA Payments

HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible healthcare services. Because individual plans vary, patients should confirm eligibility with their plan administrator.

Insurance and Superbills

Triple Health Clinic is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance for clinical services. A superbill is provided after each completed visit so that you may submit this to your insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement or application toward your deductible. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. We encourage you to contact your insurance carrier directly to understand your out-of-network benefits.

Additional Costs

Laboratory testing and prescription medications are not included in the program fee, however, you may use your health insurance for these expenses.

Laboratory charges are submitted to your insurance by Labcorp, and prescription medications may be processed through your pharmacy benefits. Coverage, deductibles, copays, and other patient costs vary by insurance plan.

The fees for your initial and 12-week in-clinic lab draws are included during the program. After completing the program, in-clinic lab draws are $20.
Ongoing fee-for-service follow-up visits are $175 per visit.

Specialty Testing When It Adds Value

Specialty testing is available to established Triple Health Clinic patients as part of their ongoing care for perimenopause, menopause, and related midlife health concerns. We do not offer specialty testing as a one-time or stand-alone service.

Standard laboratory testing provides important information, but it does not always answer every clinical question. When your symptoms, health history, initial laboratory results, or response to treatment indicate that further evaluation may be helpful, we can recommend specialty testing selected for your individual needs.

Specialty Testing Available Through Triple Health Clinic
  • Detailed Hormone and Cortisol Testing

DUTCH testing evaluates hormone metabolites and patterns of cortisol production. It may be considered when this additional information could help answer a specific clinical question or guide treatment.

  • Comprehensive Stool Testing

GI-MAP testing provides information about gastrointestinal microorganisms and selected markers related to digestion, inflammation, and intestinal health. It may be considered for persistent or complex gastrointestinal concerns.

  • SIBO and Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth Testing

Hydrogen and methane breath testing may be used when symptoms and history suggest small intestinal bacterial overgrowth or intestinal methanogen overgrowth. This is different from comprehensive stool testing.

  • Selected Genetic Testing

Genetic or pharmacogenomic testing may be considered when the results could meaningfully inform risk assessment, medication selection, or another specific clinical decision. Testing is selected carefully, and additional counseling or confirmatory evaluation may be recommended for certain findings.

  • Other Targeted Testing

When appropriate, we may also recommend conventional testing for concerns such as celiac disease, H. pylori, suspected parasitic infection, food allergy, or a specific environmental exposure. Referral to an allergist, gastroenterologist, genetic counselor, or another specialist may be recommended when their expertise is needed.

Testing With a Clear Purpose

Specialty testing is not routinely necessary for every patient and is not ordered simply because it is available. Before proceeding, we will discuss:

Why the test is being considered
  • What the test can and cannot tell us
  • How the results may affect your treatment plan
  • Whether confirmatory testing could be needed
  • The anticipated cost and potential insurance coverage

Specialty testing must be connected to an established patient’s evaluation and treatment plan. Triple Health does not provide stand-alone test ordering or one-time interpretation of specialty results obtained elsewhere.

Specialty laboratory testing is not included in the Foundations Program fee. Many specialty tests are self-pay and may not be covered by insurance.

Is Triple Health Clinic Right for You?

Triple Health Clinic may be a good fit if:
  • You are ready to take an active, committed role in your health by completing recommended testing, attending scheduled visits, and communicating openly about your response to treatment.
  • You understand that meaningful progress may require time, follow-up, and thoughtful adjustments.
  • You are looking for a structured, ongoing care relationship rather than a one-time consultation, stand-alone test, or isolated treatment recommendation.
Our Role in Your Care

Triple Health Clinic is not a primary care practice and does not replace your primary care provider. We focus on perimenopause, menopause, and related midlife concerns while your primary care provider continues to manage routine preventive care, acute illnesses, and medical conditions outside our scope.

With your permission, we can communicate and coordinate with your primary care provider or other members of your healthcare team when appropriate.
